Day 1: Johannesburg to Botswana Border
An early departure from your hotel in Johannesburg takes you north where we set up camp near the Botswana border. Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Makgadikgadi Pans - Botswana
You travel north via Francistown to Nata. The pans are the remains of a gigantic ancient lake of 6 500 km² where the Okavango River used to flow. The sunset over the pans is unforgettable. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Chobe River - Kasane
Camp is set up on the banks of the Chobe River, an area famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. You enjoy a game viewing cruise on the Chobe River. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Days 4 & 5: Livingstone/ Victoria Falls 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' - the smoke that thunders
You travel across the Zambian border to Livingstone from where you may view Victoria Falls - without doubt one of the greatest and most spectacular sights in Africa. Days are spent at leisure to browse the local markets, to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including white water rafting, bungi jumping, microlighting/ airplane or helicopter over the Falls, rhino walks, elephant back safaris etc. and to visit the Falls (own expense). (All meals excluding 1 lunch and 1 dinner).
Day 6: Lower Zambezi - Zambia
Travelling through southern Zambia you set up camp on the banks of the Zambezi River at Kiambi Camp and enjoy the sunset from the deck overlooking the river. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 7 & 8: Zambezi Canoeing
You board your canoes for a 2-day excursion on the Zambezi River. Whilst paddling downstream with the gentle current of the river, you relax and enjoy the profound sense of peace and tranquillity. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 9: Luangwa River
You travel via the capital city of Lusaka and install your camp near the Luangwa River. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 10 & 11: South Luangwa National Park
The ecologically unspoilt South Luangwa National Park is undoubtedly one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries in Africa. The 9 050km2 park has Elephant, Hippo, Buffalo, and numerous species of Antelope and predators. The birdlife is a birdwatcher’s delight. Day 12 & 13: Lake Malawi
The lake, with its crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and beautiful bays, is surrounded by high rugged peaks and mountains. You set up camp on the lakeshore, swim, suntan and relax for two days. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

South Luangwa is almost crowded it has so many animals and birds. The Luangwa River has hundreds of Crocodile and Hippopotamus, and Lion and Leopard are frequently spotted on night drives. You may also see rare Wild Dog and Thornicroft's Giraffe.
