Day 1: Panorama Route, South AfricaOn the first day of your Accommodated Overland Tour, you leave behind Johannesburg, the city of gold, and head through the province of Mpumalanga and see some breathtaking vistas of the Lowveld. Blyde River Canyon, God's Window and Bourke's Luck Potholes will be some of today's highlights. You will spend the evening just outside of Kruger National Park. Lunch and Dinner. |
Days 2 & 3: Kruger National ParkYou get up early and visit a Wildlife rehabilitation centre for an educational experience before you enter Kruger National Park. The next two days are spent exploring the southern part of this vast reserve and you stand a good chance of sighting Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo - Africa's famed Big Five.
An optional night drive with one of the South African National Park (SANP) rangers is an excellent way to see some of the nocturnal animals. Enjoy optional activities such as SANP Night Drive or Dawn Game Walk. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. |
Days 4 & 5: Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, SwazilandToday you leave the Kruger Park and cross the border to Swaziland. There is an opportunity during your visit to Swaziland for curio shopping as you stop off to browse through the markets. Your next 2 nights are inside the Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy optional activities such as Mountain Biking, Hiking, Horse Riding and Game Viewing. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. |
Day 6: South Africa - St Lucia World Heritage ParkLeaving Swaziland, you travel through the subtropical region towards the Indian Ocean. You will spend the afternoon exploring the St Lucia World Heritage Park and enjoying the unique sights. Enjoy optional activities such as a Lagoon Cruise. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. |
Day 7: Durban, KwaZulu-NatalYou drive to Durban where you will spend the night in this vibrant city, home to the largest Indian population outside of India and where Ghandi spent much of his youth.
It is possible to go out this evening to try one of Durban's famous curry restaurants or some of the local clubs and bars. Enjoy optional activities such as Dinner and night out in the city. Breakfast and Lunch. |
Days 8 & 9: Drakensberg, KwaZulu-NatalYou leave Durban and the Kwa-Zulu Natal coast and travel to the Royal Natal National Park to see your first glimpse of the mighty Drakensberg escarpment. The next day is spent at leisure. You can choose any of the local activities such as horse riding or relax in the spectacular surroundings. Enjoy optional activities such as Horse Riding, Hiking. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. |
