Experience the ultimate African adventure! This overland adventure tour takes you to all the popular holiday destinations within Africa. Visits to the lush Luwawa Forests, Zanzibar Island and Kilimanjaro ensure that you will leave Africa with unforgettable memories. From the start of the tour you will be captivated by the scenic and unspoiled natural surroundings you have to journey through to get to your next destination. Spellbinding scenery, exotic cuisine and adventure will greet you at every destination.

Day 1: Livingstone, Zambia

You spend the day enjoying the activities in Livingstone or finalizing arrangements for your trip which leaves Livingstone the following day. Enjoy optional activities such as Zambezi White Water Rafting, Bungee Jumping, Elephant Back Safari, Zambezi sunset cruise, Vic Falls NP. Lunch and Dinner.

Days 2 & 3: Lusaka / Luangwa River, Zambia

Leaving behind the excitement of Livingstone you depart on your expedition. The journey towards the bustling Zambian capital of Lusaka takes you along an interesting route. You begin the following day with some shopping in Lusaka before heading northeast towards the Luangwa River where you spend the night. This is an interesting area full of friendly locals and a walk along the river is a rewarding experience. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 4 & 5: South Luangwa National Park, Zambia

You drive from Luangwa River to the South Luangwa National Park where you will spend two nights on the banks of the river. The second day is put aside for activities. You can choose between a morning or night game drive and a guided game walk accompanied by a professional local guide. If the South Luangwa National Park is not for you, then relax by the pool.

On occasion, in the rainy season it is impossible or inadvisable to attempt to reach South Luangwa NP, if this happens then an alternative itinerary will be chosen. Optional Activities: Game Drive, Night Drive and Game Walk in South Luangwa NP. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 6: Luwawa Forest, Malawi

You leave South Luangwa NP early and pass through the Zambia-Malawi border.  Heading north you enter the highlands of Malawi and spend the night at Luwawa Forest. There are some wonderful hikes in the area as well as other activities. Enjoy optional activities such as Fishing, Mountain Biking and hiking. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Days 7 & 8: Central Lake Malawi

You soon catch sight of Lake Malawi where you will spend the next couple of carefree days. For the more adventurous there are endless leisure and water sport activities. Alternatively, soak up the atmosphere and relax in one of the most scenic and memorable holiday destinations in Africa!

The evenings are spent near the tranquil waters, enjoying the atmosphere. Enjoy optional activities such as Scuba diving, parasailing, windsurfing, fishing, canoeing, horse riding, snorkeling, village tours and many more... Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Days 9 & 10: Northern Lake Malawi

You continue a short way further along the northern part of the lake, close to the Livingstonia Mountains, where you will continue your relaxation for the next two days. Take a stroll through the nearby craft market and make friends with the friendly people of Malawi or take a hike if the weather is favorable. Enjoy optional activities such as Craft shopping, Livingstonia trip, hiking. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 11: Tanzania - Iringa

Today you make the border crossing out of Malawi. Leaving the lake behind you, you enter Tanzania and gain an hour as you cross into the East African time zone. You travel through spectacular mountain passes and pass the vast tea plantations in the highlands to your camp outside Iringa. The next day you transit through Mikumi National Park to the historical port city of Dar es Salaam. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 12: Dar es Salaam

Once you arrive in Dar es Salaam the guides will arrange the Zanzibar Ferry tickets for those that are going on the Zanzibar excursion. This is so you can leave for Zanzibar as early as possible on Day 13. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Days 13, 14 & 15: Zanzibar

A ferry will take you to Zanzibar where you spend the next few days exploring this fascinating island with its renowned architecture, beautiful beaches, colourful people and history. The excursion is at your own expense and the cost can vary depending on your preferred level of accommodation and activities. Many groups disperse on Zanzibar as everyone is free to explore as they wish to.

One of the guides will accompany you to Zanzibar to provide information and assistance on the Island. Enjoy optional activities such as Zanzibar Excursion: Ferry, Food, Accommodation, Spice Tours, Dolphin Tours, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling. Breakfast (day 13 only). Other meals at own expense.

Day 16: Zanzibar / Dar es Salaam

Today you catch a late ferry (or flight) back to Dar es Salaam. You spend the evening recounting the experiences you had in Zanzibar. Dinner.

Day 17: Arusha

A long and scenic drive takes you to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. If there are clear skies en-route you might see Mt Kilimanjaro. After arriving in Arusha you prepare to explore the Serengeti National Park - one of the most abundant wildlife reserves in the world. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Days 18 & 19: Serengeti / Ngorongoro

You are in full control of your holiday and you will be presented with a number of ways to experience the Serengeti. Some people prefer to take the budget camping option for 3 days and 2 nights where others prefer to experience the Serengeti in style on a balloon flight above the park.

Your budget is the only limit and your guides will assist you to the best decision. If you are not going in to the parks then this is a great chance to absorb some of the fascinating local culture. One of the guides will stay with those who prefer to remain behind. Meals at own expense.

Day 20: Arusha

Reunited again, you spend your last night in this beautiful country exchanging stories about the wildlife. The groups normally return from the Serengeti excursion late in the afternoon. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 21: Nairobi, Kenya

After crossing the border into Kenya with Mt Kilimanjaro receding into the distance, you continue towards Nairobi and the end of your journey. The last evening on tour is normally spent at a local restaurant celebrating the completion of your African adventure! Enjoy optional activities such as Dinner at Carnivore. Breakfast and Lunch.
