The trip across Zambia takes you into Malawi. Land locked but with its own small inland, fresh-water 'sea', the tropical beaches and coastal villages will give you plenty to explore.

Dar-es-Salaam, on the coast of the Indian Ocean, is the gateway to the Spice Islands of the Zanzibar Archipelago, and an embarkation onto a fantastical journey into history. This 21 day Northern Safari tour takes you from the ocean to the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro where you have the added option of seeing the vast herds of game on the Serengeti Plains. Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world, is 610 metres (2001.3 feet) deep with an area of 260 km2 (100.3 sq miles) This microcosm of East African scenery should not be missed.
